Ashari James

Director of Outreach

Hi everyone, my name is Ashari James! I’m fifteen years old, originally from Buffalo, New York (even though for the better half of my life I've been in Washington, D.C.). I am Afro-Puerto Rican, and I want to pursue civil rights law. I chose to dedicate myself to youth leadership and activism because I want to be one of the black trailblazers with a lasting legacy. Voting is so important to me because when we understand our worth and voting power, we can finally bring people to the table who truly fight for and represent all of us at every level of government. In the past, I have volunteered for multiple organizations like March for Our Lives D.C. and Vote16DC striving to make a difference. Now I am at Vote Z as the Director of Outreach, and I hope to continue trailblazing.
